Set of four fresco studies, originally published in Rome circa 1775-1776. Painted originally by Raphael Sanzio d'Urbino (1483-1520), Engravings drawn by Ludovico Tesco, then engraved by Giovanni Volpato (1740-1803), and Published in Rome 1775 -76.

These studies come from the 83 plate survey of the ornamental frescoes designed by Raphael for Pope Leo X's Loggia. The Loggia was an open-sided vaulted gallery in the Vatican.
This set is wonderfully detailed and coloured. They represent a wonderful piece of art history and have immense decorative appeal.
