Dimensions:
A 19th Century Fireside Open Armchair, probably continental with superb carved top rail. Central daisy flower with forget-me- knots and swirling feather leaf decorations cascading down the rail. This decoration was an indication of the Rites of Spring and used in Black Forest carving. The bottom rail has a tulip as its central motif and sweeping acanthus leaves leading to either leg with shell motif. Seat Height 35 cm
