Vintage Metamorphic Serving Table / Console on Castors

A handsome and unusual vintage metamorphic serving table, combining rich contrasting veneers with a warm-toned timber frame. The clever hinged top opens out to create a generous serving surface, while when closed its narrow proportions allow it to sit neatly against a wall as a console or serving table. A full-length lower shelf provides additional useful storage. Raised on elegant carved feet with original-style castors, allowing the table to be moved easily when required. The contrasting veneers have particularly attractive figuring and give the piece a smart, decorative finish. A wonderfully practical piece for entertaining, ideal as a drinks table, buffet or serving table, while equally attractive used as a console when closed.

Condition: Presented in good vintage condition with some age-related marks and signs of use. Please refer to photographs for details.
