A charming late Victorian walnut wall mirror dating from the late nineteenth century, crafted in the fashionable Aesthetic Movement style. The frame is beautifully constructed from solid walnut with elegant turned uprights, faux bamboo detailing and decorative finials, creating a wonderfully balanced architectural design. The warm walnut has developed a rich patina over the last century. Retaining its original mirror plate with attractive age-related foxing and original backboard, the mirror possesses exactly the mellow character collectors look for in authentic Victorian interiors. Mirror plate: 40 × 25 cm
